‘Pro choice’ — if choice is abortion
Shame on Sen. Mark Warner, Virginia Democrat, for signing a letter with over 20 other congressional Democrats urging Google to "restrict search results showing pro-life pregnancy centers" and calling such facilities "fake clinics" because they don't kill preborn babies ("Democrats ask Google to rig searches," Inside Politics, June 20). Ignoring left’s ballot shenanigans
As Democrats and RINO members of the GOP make a run at a third Trump impeachment, conspicuously ignored is any suggestion that the following are illegal: ballot harvesting, running stacks of ballots multiple times through counting machines, buying mail-in ballots, sewer service of mail-in ballots and filling out ballots in back rooms. Next war needs divine intervention
On June 15, the European Union signed an economically and prophetically significant agreement to purchase Israel's natural gas via Egypt, thereby ending its total dependence on Russian gas. Seems the people who historically used poison gas to kill the Jews now need Israeli natural gas to survive. Published June 20, 2022
No truth sought in hearings
The kangaroo court show trial that calls itself the Jan. 6 select committee is clearly determined to convict Donald Trump of inciting a riot -- or at least rough him up to the point he is no longer a viable candidate for president. Published June 20, 2022
Americans see the facts
As polls indicate that roughly only 1 in 3 Americans approves of his performance, President Biden has responded incongruously with self-congratulatory rhetoric. The inverse relationship between the president's popularity and pronouncements is striking. Published June 17, 2022
Democrat-made recession coming
The failure of President Biden to take responsibility for the economy and manage it will cause a recession in one month. The stock market is already headed for a crash. Mr. Biden's refusal to free up our available energy sources is a key factor with rapidly rising inflation. No common sense is being applied to supply and demand in the United States. This is because Mr. Biden is ruled by the political far left. Published June 17, 2022
Biden, the Democrats’ radical stooge
President Biden has lived his adult life as a career politician. His former boss, Barack Obama, once said, "Don't underestimate Joe's ability to f--- things up." He spent most of 2020 hiding in his basement while running as the Democratic nominee for president. His party selected him as an unwitting stooge to accomplish their radical bidding. Turkey plotting Jerusalem takeover?
The last thing the Jewish people want to hear is that Jerusalem will once again come under siege. But a Turkish plan is forming an "army of Islam" to invade Israel. The Old Testament reveals that Islamic forces surrounding Israel will move into Jerusalem, take the city, plunder the homes, rape the women and exile half the city (Zechariah 14:2). Some Jewish scholars say this happened in the year 70 A.D., when Rome invaded Jerusalem, but the verse that follows it says Israel's Messiah, Jesus Christ, will personally intervene and end the invasion. Inflation is no mistake
The only possible explanation for the out-of-control inflation being deliberately created by the Biden administration is an attempt to rid America of older Americans on fixed incomes. With skyrocketing prices, these individuals cannot pay for food, medicine, electricity and more -- and will soon expire, making more room for the illegal aliens now being paid to come here and the cartels that make them wealthy. International law is unenforceable
Someone should tell Clifford D. May that international law should have died after World War II ("Death of international law: Flouted by despots and weaponized against small nations," Web, June 14). Published June 16, 2022
Why so scared of Trump 2024?
If, in the 2020 election, a diminished President Biden really did beat former President Donald Trump without even leaving his basement to campaign, any other Democrat should be able to beat Mr. Trump handily in 2024, too. On their deep bench they have Elizabeth Warren, Mazie Hirono, Maxine Waters, Beto O'Rourke and another dozen of that ilk. It stands to reason that if he did indeed lose in 2020, Mr. Trump wouldn't have a chance against any of them. Published June 15, 2022
Assault weapons instill fear
The assault weapon is beloved by millions of Americans due to its numerous convenient features, including a lightweight, mild recoil, quick and easy reloading and semi-automatic firing rate ("Why firearm fans love the AR-15 as much as the gun control crowd hates it," Web, June 13). So why do millions of Americans want to outlaw it? The answer lies more in psychology than in gun features or murder rates. Published June 15, 2022
Intentionally worthless gun rules
The Senate's proposed gun legislation clearly violates both the Second and Fourth amendments to the Constitution -- and it will at best only marginally reduce crime and violence ("Senators break logjam on guns, school safety with bipartisan deal," Web, June 12). Published June 15, 2022
Too old to tango?
At some point, rational older adults realize the future is no longer about them, but rather about the generations that follow. And that is a good thing, because these accomplished younger men and women have the energy, curiosity, intellect and willingness to question long-standing traditions and remove or build on them, as progress requires. Adults’ faux reality
For decades, American youth has been confronted by a confusing adult world of make-believe reality. They have witnessed the acceptance of definitions losing permanence through arbitrary claims. Published June 14, 2022
Kick Soros DAs to curb
George Soros reportedly spent $40 million to install 75 leftist (often inexperienced) district attorneys throughout the country. Mr. Soros plans to effectively oppose the recalls of those attorneys and get even more of them elected. Published June 14, 2022
Obama can’t save the Democrats
Apparently the architect of the American socialist machine and the Biden collective has crawled out from under his slimy, multimillion-dollar rock on Martha's Vineyard. Former President Barack Obama has a lot to say suddenly, and it just so happens to be coming right before the midterm elections. Published June 13, 2022
Left hopes to gain mileage from hearings
Expect five or six more prime-time dog and pony shows, crafted by Speaker Nancy Pelosi to divert attention from President Biden's disastrous administration blunders ("House panel star witness William Stepien will not appear Monday," Web, June 13). Published June 13, 2022
Time to look under the bed
In 1776 a conspiracy of brave, brilliant, erudite and serious men led the fight for America's freedom and independence. Their ideas and ideals have "shaped the course of human events." Fast forward almost two-and-a-half centuries, and America is witnessing another revolution. This one, however, is led by a conspiracy of dunces. Published June 13, 2022
CPI inflation excludes food, energy
Ramsey Touchberry's recent piece on inflation is flat-out wrong at the end ("Inflation hits new 40-year high of 8.6% as gas, food prices keep rising" Web, June 10). CPI inflation does not include energy, housing or food in the current variation of the index, nor has it done for Published June 10, 2022
