LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Tainted from the start

The $25-million Mueller report showing no wrongdoing in the phony FISA warrant is concluded — yet the Democrats still want President Trump's head on a pike. Published March 27, 2019

Sen. Edward Markey, D- Mass., speaks at a rally for Green New Deal, Tuesday, March 26, 2019, outside the Capitol in Washington. EDITORIAL: Democrats know the Green New Deal is fantastical nonsense

The "Green New Deal" is a nutty scheme to completely "decarbonize" the U.S. economy over a decade to rebuild or replace every single building in the United States to make them energy efficient, to declare war on U.S. agriculture (cows belch too much), and, for good measure "provide all people of the United States with high-quality health care; affordable, safe, and adequate housing; economic security and access to clean water, clean air, healthy and affordable food, guarantee a "job with a family-sustaining wage, adequate family and medical leave, paid vacations, and retirement security to all people of the United States." LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Congress’ climate-change comedians

Pathological environmentalism, neo-Marxism, HDTV, media dishonesty and marijuana have created a perfect storm of suicidal energy-policy ideas. "Climate change" has become a false religion, and you cannot argue with religious zealots. Brainwashed Americans protest global warming during record cold and snow, even despite the unprecedented freezing of Niagara Falls two years in a row. There are no more storms than usual, only insignificant, natural fluctuation in storm activity. Published March 26, 2019

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Let Rosenstein testify

I think Rod Rosenstein should testify before Congress about the Mueller report because he is an important fact witness, having been involved from the very beginning with full visibility into the investigation ("Democrats' soured view of Rod Rosenstein diminishes complex role he played in Mueller probe," Web, March 25). He and Robert Mueller and Attorney General Barr would make an excellent hearing panel. Published March 26, 2019

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: The Post is dark, indeed

For over two years, without any credible evidence, major media outlets accused President Trump of colluding with Russia to win the 2016 election. The Mueller Report explodes that myth — yet the mainstream media outlets that peddled the left's lies concerning the so-called collusion show neither shame nor remorse after disrupting the civil and political life of this country during that time. Published March 25, 2019

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Mueller squandered millions

Special counsel Robert Mueller has just concluded his report after about two years and the spending of a reported $20 million ("Mueller finds no Russia collusion," Page I, March 25). In the process, he accomplished the grand total of incriminating three people for basically lying, two to him and one to the IRS. And he created a black comedy with a middle-of-the-night arrest of a dirty trickster. Published March 25, 2019

EDITORIAL: No more special prosecutors

Once the hysteria over the Mueller report subsides, and this, too, shall pass, sober heads on both left and right should consider whether continuing with special prosecutors, special counsels and whatever they might be called, is a good idea. Published March 24, 2019

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: ‘Roiled’ unfair characterization

The headline "Black man's death in police custody roils town" (Web, March 6) is misleading and biased. The article neither alludes to nor quotes anyone but family members of the deceased, Anton Black, when it comes to questioning the decision of the county prosecutor not to prosecute, or the findings of the medical examiner regarding cause of death. Yet the Associated Press reporter writes, "Black's death has roiled a rural town on Maryland's Eastern Shore and left his family yearning for answers." Published March 24, 2019

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Respect McCain’s memory

President Trump continues to bash positions taken by Sen. John McCain — which is somewhat amazing since McCain has been dead for seven months. I believe Mr. Trump, who did not serve in the military like the late McCain, wants to be in the spotlight all the time and doesn't care if he receives negative criticism about his comments. Published March 24, 2019

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Can’t fool us all

Congress failed to counter President Trump's border-wall plan with a comprehensive proposal that would put an end to protecting and rewarding millions of illegal immigrants for usurping our jobs, benefits and hospitality. Published March 21, 2019

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Who’s dishonorable?

2020 presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren has declared that Vice President Mike Pence is not an honorable man because "Anyone who engages in the kind of homophobia and attacks on people who are different from himself is not an honorable person. That's not what honorable people do." Published March 21, 2019

Swedish national flags placed between flowers in fence near the department store Ahlens following a suspected terror attack in central Stockholm, Sweden, Saturday, April 8, 2017. Swedish prosecutor Hans Ihrman said a person has been formally identified as a suspect "of terrorist offences by murder" after a hijacked truck was driven into a crowd of pedestrians and crashed into a department store on Friday. EDITORIAL: Violent crime comes to Sweden

Sweden's "social democracy," often cited by Europeans and like-minded Americans as the model society, is in deep trouble. Sweden is no longer a low-crime country, but now a high-crime country, with rates of homicide significantly above the Western European average. Car torchings, attacks on first responders and even riots, are familiar to all. Published March 20, 2019

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Why not cancel school entirely?

I agree with R. Emmett Tyrrell Jr. that a Friday children's crusade about the perils of global warming is reasonable ("When the children take charge," Web, March 19), but I would go further and excuse absences from school each and every weekday for other designated perils. If I may be so bold, even though I am a doddering septuagenarian, I suggest that we excuse students for the following perils: Monday, Donald Trump; Tuesday, Mitch McConnell; Wednesday, fossil fuels; and Thursday, capitalism. This is such a very precious idea, in fact, that I believe a nomination for a Nobel Peace Prize may be in order for the founder of the Friday peril. Shame on so many of you crusty conservatives who thought that our public education system was failing. Published March 20, 2019

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Thank Obama, Clinton for Russia

The origins of the many current problems with Russia and the fake Trump-Russia-collusion narrative can be traced to Barack Obama and the Clintons, who actually did collude with Vladimir Putin. Starting with the fiasco "Reset" announcement, the Edward Snowden pass to take the whole National Security Agency playbook to Moscow, the unanswered murder of Alexander Litvinenko in England, and the betrayal of Poland with the removal of promised U.S. missile defenses, the continued series of open invitations to take advantage of America dramatically emboldened Mr. Putin, who attacked Georgia and Chechnya. He cyber-attacked Estonia and other former captive nations, threatening to invade the Baltic states. Published March 20, 2019
