Robert Mueller files request for 70 blank subpoenas

Special counsel Robert Mueller apparently is getting ready to file numerous subpoenas this summer in the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. According to a document filed with the U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Mr. Mueller requested "70 Blank Subpoenas (35 sets)" from the court related to bank-fraud charges filed against Paul Manafort, a former Trump presidential-campaign manager. Eric Swalwell calls for mandatory buyback of all ‘military-style semiautomatic’ weapons

In an editorial in USA Today, Rep. Eric Swalwell proposed a mandatory buyback of all "military-style semiautomatic assault weapons" without any "grandfather clause" for existing weapons or any deference to the Second Amendment -- the sort of forced-confiscation plan that gun-rights advocates have warned about and gun-controllers have hotly denied they seek. Rudy Giuliani blasts Robert Mueller probe, says James Comey should be indicted

President Trump's top legal adviser called former FBI Director James B. Comey a liar who should be indicted. In an interview Wednesday night on Fox News Channel, former New York Mayor Rudolph W. David Hogg demands Mike Pence cancel NRA speech

Gun-control activist David Hogg now wants to stop elected politicians from speaking to the National Rifle Association. In a tweet Sunday, Mr. Hogg noted that he had signed a MoveOn.org petition to "Demand Mike Pence cancel his speech to the NRA convention on May 4." Published April 29, 2018
