A "roller coaster" of a ballgame
Whew, my head is still spinning from the recently completed Nats-D'backs ballgame.
Thursday night lineups
It's Nats vs. D'backs at 7:10 p.m., with the series on the line. For what it's worth, Washington hasn't allowed an earned run the last two nights.
Boone on DL, Orr recalled
Just in case the Nats' DL wasn't already clogged enough, another player has been added to the list: Aaron Boone.

Odalis Perez unleashed a profanity-laced tirade after the Nationals' 2-0 loss to Arizona, during which he was called for two third-inning balks and was ejected.

Team doctor Ben Shaffer talked to reporters a while ago about the litany of injuries the Nationals are currently dealing with. I'll boil it down to the major highlights:
Perez ejected
Odalis Perez was just ejected for arguing after he was called for TWO balks in the third inning.
Zimmerman takes BP
Ryan Zimmerman took batting practice on the field today for the first time since late May.

Washington Nationals shortstop Cristian Guzman was named to the National League's All-Star squad this afternoon, confirmation of the 30-year-old's fine comeback season.
Dukes injures knee--UPDATED POSTGAME
Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse for the Nationals, left fielder Elijah Dukes injured his right knee catching a fly ball up against the fence in the seventh inning of tonight's game.
