Sanctuary city politicians likely think SB 1070 will force their hands

After interviewing Los Angeles City Councilman Ed Reyes about his vote to terminate Arizona contracts doing business in the city, I compared Arizona’s SB 1070 immigration law and the California penal code that pertains to law enforcement and immigration. I was surprised to find out that both states require their law enforcement agencies to handle illegal aliens similarly.

Calif. penal code pertaining to immigration similar to Ariz.'s SB 1070

The Los Angeles City Council's vote to boycott Arizona caused more consternation than anything else. L.A. The City Council voted 13 -1 to ban the city of Los Angeles from doing business with Arizona unless the legislation is repealed. The boycott means almost $8 million in contracts will be terminated.

Audio: Rep. Weiner poo poo's new CBO health care estimate showing larger cost

Democrats know their new health care law is not gaining any new fans, and the new numbers coming out of the Congressional Budget Office prove what everybody else had been saying all along. The health care legislation is too expensive, and we cannot afford it, but don’t tell that to Congressman Anthony Weiner, New York Democrat. Chasing after Mr. Weiner after he spoke at a union gathering of nurses, I asked him about what he thinks about CBO coming out with numbers that went way over the projected estimate prior the health care vote in March.
