'05 Ground Zero 'freedom center' was secular, liberal, and rejected
A number of proposed Ground Zero structures have yet to be built or for that matter rebuilt since the 9/11 attacks. These include the building meant to replace the World Trade Center towers and the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox church, a structure that was crushed as a result of the September 11th attacks. In fact, a one proposed idea that was eventually rejected was the International Freedom Center. This cultural center, first proposed in 2004, was a left-wing endorsed project that presented itself as a way to “dialogue” about the events of 9/11.
Reid immigration flip followed labor's flip on immigration
Liberal defenders of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid are complaining that the “whole story” is not being told about Mr. Reid’s flip-flop on birthright citizenship. The Washington Post will point to a time when Mr. Reid “apologized profusely” on the Senate floor in 2006 for proposing his failed 1993 immigration bill which would have ended birthright citizenship for individuals born to illegal immigrants. They also point to a December 1999 Las Vegas Review Journal piece about where Mr. Reid stood on the immigration issue; however, Mr. Reid's immigration flip-flop was likely more a result of organized labor changing their immigration stance to a pro-amnesty policy rather than a Nevada Senator feeling guilt about a bill his wife did not like.

Sen. Reid: How can someone be Hispanic and Republican?
Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat, likely trying to endear himself to Nevada voters who do not like immigration laws like Arizona's SB 1070, made a remark about hispanics at a campaign stop typical of liberals who are comfortable with seeing un-educated latinos dependent on a government pay check. Mr. Reid told supporters on Tuesday, “I don’t know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican,” Mr. Reid said. “Do I need to say more?”
