NRA nixes Harry Reid

Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat, could not gain the endorsement from the National Rifle Association. Last month the NRA floated the idea that Mr. Reid may very well get their endorsement for his re-election run. Perplexed conservatives were astounded and demanded answers from the NRA. Perhaps membership voices were heard loud and clear on Friday at NRA headquarters in Virginia.

Video: Rep. Alan Grayson finds kids to sing his praises

Not to be outdone by President Barack Obama's 2008 campaign ads of children quite literally singing Mr. Obama's praises, Rep. Alan Grayson, Florida Democrat, put out an ad recently showing small children chanting, "Alan Grayson saved our school." Hardly impressed, Republicans have their own ad (video below) looking to remind voters about their Florida Congressman and bring Mr. Grayson back down to earth. This tactic of Mr. Obama's and now Rep. Grayson was snickered at in 2008, what exactly makes Mr. Grayson think it will help him in 2010, when the issue is no longer about hope and change but about jobs and the economy.

ndiana Governor, Republican Mitch Daniels, spoke to the Heritage Foundation, a Washington D.C. conservative think-tank, about the high cost of the recently passed Democratic health care bill. Mr. Daniels offered up some of his own ideas on health care that he believes would not be so intrusive in Americans' lives.

Pro-life organization targets Stupak's 'pro-life' allies

Throughout the health care debate, abortion remained an issue that could have sunk the still unpopular health care bill. A number of self-proclaimed pro-life Democrats, led by Rep. Bart Stupak of Michigan, promised they would not vote for any health care bill that had the American tax-payer funding abortions. However, as time went by, Mr. Stupak’s group shrank from being a dozen to a half dozen.

Washington Senate race poll: Rossi leads Sen. Murray by 7 points

Senator Patty Murray, Washington Democrat,was paid a visit by President Barack Obama on Tuesday, and he helped raise $1.3 million for both Ms. Murray and the state Democratic party, say media reports. Why would the Washington Senator, need the president at this time? This year's election cycle appears to be tough one for Senator Murray. According to Seattle's King5.com, Republican Dino Rossi, Ms. Murray's challenger in the general election, is ahead by 7 points in a recent poll.
