Wellesley College is a women's liberal-arts college, in Wellesley, Massachusetts, that opened in 1875, founded by Henry Fowle Durant and his wife Pauline Fowle Durant. According to the 2010 U.S. News and World Report rankings, Wellesley College is the #4 liberal arts college in the United States, tied with Middlebury College, behind Williams, Amherst and Swarthmore.
