Attorney General Treg Taylor in a statement said he was pleased the court “issued this important decision” and thanked the Department of Law attorneys who represented Dunleavy for their work.

Taylor argued that given the changing circumstances and the powers in the law, Dunleavy had the authority to issue additional declarations -- a view that was challenged by an attorney for the Legislature in a memo last year.
