The Rockefeller University is a private university—originally founded as the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research and then sometimes called simply Rockefeller Institute—focusing since its inception on the development of both basic science and biomedical engineering, and now offering postgraduate and postdoctoral education as well. It is located between 63rd and 68th Streets along York Avenue, on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City, New York. Its current president is Sir Paul Nurse. Dr. Nurse will leave the Rockefeller University by the end of 2010. The candidate for the president position has not been announced yet. - Source: Wikipedia
