Uruguay President Jose “Pepe” Mujica entered politics after spending 14 years in prison during Uruguay’s dictatorship. The 77-year-old has created a man-of-the-people image during his time in office, giving away 90 percent of his salary, deciding not to have a bank account, driving a 41-year-old car and never wearing a tie.
