A 32-year-old female resident of Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico was arrested Sunday for attempting to smuggle 246 pounds of marijuana through the Port of Douglas. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers selected a Chevrolet truck, driven by Ana C. Gonzalez-Figueroa, for further inspection. After a CBP narcotics detection canine alerted to the presence of drugs, officers located $123,000 worth of marijuana hidden within the vehicle’s seats, undercarriage and spare tire.
