Islamic University is a public university in Bangladesh financially aided by the Organisation of the Islamic Conference. It was formed in 1985 in Kushtia to promote the Islamic system of education in the country. Islamic University started its academic activities on June 28, 1986. The main objective of the university is to provide for instruction in theology and other fields of Islamic studies and comparative jurisprudence and such other branches of learning at graduate and postgraduate levels and to make provisions for research, including post-doctorate research and training for advancement and dissemination of knowledge. - Source: Wikipedia
