Awesome Con D.C. and the Museum of Science Fiction attempted to break a world record for the largest gathering of people dressed as comic book characters at the U.S. Capitol Reflecting Pool on Friday, April 18. The current record holder is China; which stands at 1,530 people, set on April 19, 2011 at the opening ceremony of the International Animation CCJOY LAND.
