High in the Sierra Nevada Mountains located halfway between Reno and Yosemite National Park is the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center in Bridgeport, California. Several hundred Marines from Camp Lejeune, 2,800 miles away on the other side of the country, traded the swamps of their North Carolina training base for a month of cold weather mountain training here.
