Flipkart is an Indian company serving in the electronic commerce sector and headquartered in Bengaluru, India. It was founded in October 2007 by Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal (no relation). On 9 March 2018, Walmart announced its acquisition of Flipkart for $16 billion for a valuation of over $20 billion, making it the largest ecommerce acquisition in the world.
