FILE - This Feb. 5, 2014 file photo shows Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack speaking in the White House briefing room in Washington. The number of U.S. farms is declining even as the value of their crops and livestock has increased over the past five years, a new government census of America's agriculture says. Also, farmers are getting older _ the average age was 58.3 years. But Vilsack points to a bright spot: a small rise in the number of farmers between 25 and 34 years old. This photo released by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources shows Right whale #4057 circles to the right as responders from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission throw a custom-made "cutting grapple," hoping to sever the long strand of fishing rope exiting the whale's mouth. Seconds later the heavy rope parted and the whale swam away unencumbered. The orange buoy floating in the background was attached to the fishing rope to slow the whale down, making it easier for responders to approach by boat. This photo released by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources shows right whale #4057, a 4-year-old male, who was found entangled in rope by a UNC Wilmington aerial survey team flying 40 miles east of Jacksonville, FL on Feb. 16, 2014. The whale was dragging over 100 yards of heavy 9/16" diameter fishing rope. A boat team from Duke University was conducting research nearby and was able to attach a suction cup mounted tag (small white rectangle on whale's back) to temporarily track the whale's movements. Responders from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission arrived shortly before dark and attached a satellite tracking buoy to the fishing rope, so the whale could be relocated and disentangled the following day. Where the whale became entangled is unknown. Credit: Photo by Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, taken under NOAA permit #15488. (AP Photo/Georgia Department of Natural Resources)
