With a trumpet fanfare, U.S. endurance swimmer Diana Nyad heralds the start Saturday of her attempt to swim from Havana, Cuba, to the Florida Keys as well-wishers see her off. Ms. Nyad, who turns 63 on Wednesday, is aiming to complete the 103-mile marathon without a shark cage.
