The Cardinal Newman Society is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, nonprofit organization founded in 1993 and dedicated to what it calls the renewal of Catholic identity on the campuses of colleges and universities in the United States. The organization is guided by its particular interpretations of John Henry Cardinal Newman's The Idea of a University and Pope John Paul II's 1990 Apostolic Constitution, Ex Corde Ecclesiae.
