Idaho state Rep. Barbara Ehardt sponsored the nation's first law prohibiting biological males from competing in women's and girls' scholastic sports. The U.S. Supreme Court agreed in July 2025 to consider the constitutionality of her bill, known as the Fairness in Women's Sports Act, which was signed into law by Idaho Gov.
