Associated press photographs Intel Corp. is paying $1.25 billion to Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD), its largest rival in the market for computer processors, to settle all antitrust and patent suits, the companies said. However, Intel must deal with antitrust charges filed by governments, most notably in Europe, at the urging of AMD.
