David Hasselhoff was seen using a walker during a rare outing with his wife, Hayley Roberts, in the West Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles on Wednesday — drawing concern from fans of the “Baywatch” star.

Photos obtained by Page Six showed Mr. Hasselhoff gripping the walker with both hands as the couple made their way across a parking lot. His representative told the outlet that the actor is recovering from knee and hip replacement surgery, is in physical therapy, and is “doing well and feeling good.”

TMZ, which also reported on the photos, said a source close to the actor confirmed the walker was being used after leaving physical therapy sessions. The source added that Mr. Hasselhoff continues to exercise and hike and remains physically active.

The outing came weeks after the couple was spotted hiking together in Calabasas, California, on April 6, with Mr. Hasselhoff using trekking poles for support.

Mr. Hasselhoff’s health has drawn periodic public concern in recent years. In May 2025, he was seen being pushed in a wheelchair through Los Angeles International Airport ahead of a flight to Cancun, Mexico. He told paparazzi at the time that he was scheduled for knee surgery the following week and was experiencing significant pain.

A source told the Daily Mail that the actor’s recent surgeries had proven more physically demanding than anticipated, but that he was recovering well and in good spirits.

The same source said Mr. Hasselhoff is focused on his recovery with an eye toward returning to acting, including a potential appearance in the “Baywatch” reboot currently filming at Venice Beach in Los Angeles through July. “He is rehabbing and wants to get back to doing a few acting gigs, and he wants to do more music,” the source said.

Mr. Hasselhoff played lifeguard Mitch Buchannon on the original “Baywatch” from 1989 to 2000 and also starred in “Knight Rider.” He has been married to Ms. Roberts, a Welsh model, since July 2018; the couple met in 2011 in Cardiff, Wales. He was previously married to actress Catherine Hickland and then to actress Pamela Bach, who died by suicide in March 2025 at age 62.
