OPINION:
President Biden and I finally agree on something: The U.S. is engaged in a war of good against evil (“The Kamala reset: Democrats reshape the narrative around Harris,” web, July 24). The soul of our nation is indeed at stake — but Mr. Biden appears confused about which party is evil. I’m not sure how he defines evil, but let’s start with honesty (or the lack thereof, in this case).
Regardless of what we’ve all seen since Mr. Biden took office, the White House, Democratic leadership and their conspirators in the press have told us he is fine, stronger than ever and anything to the contrary is a lie. But during last month’s debate with former President Donald Trump, the bubble popped and the charade was over. The Democrats realized the American people had seen the truth and Mr. Biden would never beat Mr. Trump, so they launched a coup to remove him from the ticket. This was not for the good of the country, but rather because the far-left puppet masters feared losing power.
Just weeks after many had suggested that Vice President Kamala Harris was a drag on the ticket and should be replaced, the Democrats did a complete 180 and launched their next propaganda campaign.
Yes, Mr. Biden, it is a war of good versus evil, but your party needs to look in the mirror to see what true evil looks like. Evil is a party that will do anything to stay in power. It favors other nations over our country and people, and it favors criminals over law-abiding citizens. It is a party that has corrupted and weaponized the justice system and suppresses constitutional rights. It’s a party where the ends justify the means. As the late and corrupt Sen. Harry Reid responded when called out for having spread the lie that Mitt Romney hadn’t paid federal taxes in years: “Romney didn’t win, did he?”
