A messy error: Guardians fan fails to catch foul ball, spills beer on woman instead

There’s no use crying over spilt milk. But what about beer?

A Guardians fan went viral on Saturday after embarrassing himself in an attempt to catch a foul ball during Cleveland’s road game against the Oakland Athletics.

Rather than the normal feeble attempt of simply dropping the baseball, this fan inadvertently spilled beer on the woman sitting next to him after failing to catch the ball.

The beer showered the woman after the man’s one-handed attempt was unsuccessful. It also appears as if the beer ruined her nachos as well.

Making matters worse, the fan wasn’t even able to retrieve the ball.

As the video went viral on social media, many fans pointed out the moment when the fan realizes he spilled the beer on the woman happens at the same moment a different fan celebrates picking up the foul ball.
