Scotty Pippen Jr., the son of Bulls legend Scottie Pippen, is one of six players invited to participate in the Washington Wizards’ pre-draft workout on Monday.

Pippen, a 6-foot-3 combo guard, averaged 20 points per game in each of the last two seasons for Vanderbilt. He chose to forego his senior season with the Commodores and is a second-round prospect for the NBA draft.

If the Wizards are interested in Pippen, he could be an option for the team in the second round at pick No. 54 or as an undrafted free agent. The Wizards also have the No. 10 overall pick in the draft.

Pippen led the SEC in scoring last season at 20.4 points on 41.6% shooting. He also dished out 4.5 assists and grabbed 3.6 rebounds per game in 2021-22, his junior season.

While Pippen is the most recognizable name on the list, he isn’t the most likely player of the group to be drafted by the Wizards with the 10th overall pick. That player is LSU forward Tari Eason. The 6-foot-8 big man averaged 16.9 points and 6.6 rebounds with the Tigers last season, and his defense could garner him significant minutes early in his NBA career.

The other players invited to Monday’s workout are Baylor guard James Akinjo, Delaware guard Ryan Allen, Michigan State forward Gabe Brown and UConn’s RJ Cole. Akinjo started his career at Georgetown before transferring to Arizona and then Baylor.
