Aside from the Los Angeles Rams and their fans, it’s possible that no one was happier that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost on Sunday than Antonio Brown.

The embattled wide receiver, who was released by Tampa Bay after his sideline outburst in Week 17, took to social media Sunday evening after Tom Brady’s comeback attempt came up short. Brown posted a meme on Twitter of himself during his meltdown with an edited sign that read, “Bucs eliminated.”

The meme is one that many football fans have posted on social media, with different messages between the star receiver’s hands, in the weeks since Brown’s strange exit from the Buccaneers’ game on Jan. 2 against the New York Jets.

The joke, while funny, is another example of Brown’s odd behavior in recent years. After he was released by the Buccaneers, he went on the “Full Send” podcast to criticize Brady, the Buccaneers organization and coach Bruce Arians. Brown, 33, is a free agent and has said he still wants to play in the NFL next season.

After Tampa Bay’s 30-27 loss to the Rams Sunday, Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David may have hinted about Brown’s antics when answering a question, saying the team had “turmoil” in the organization and that it was a “tough season.”

In addition to Brown’s departure, Tampa Bay also had injuries to several key players late in the season. Arians has also been criticized and was fined $50,000 by the NFL last week for hitting safety Andrew Adams in the helmet during the team’s playoff game against the Eagles.

“Things happen. People get hurt. We had some mishaps here and there, guys bump heads. We had a lot of turmoil going on in our organization,” David said. “Guys getting injured, guys who were a huge part of our success.”
