PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Police on Thursday identified a man shot and killed at a North Portland convenience store as a 53-year-old Vancouver resident.

Police said they responded to reports of gunshots at a 7-Eleven store at about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday and found Michael Arrington wounded. Medics tried to help Arrington, but police say he died shortly after arriving at a hospital.

Arrington had been shopping at the store when he was shot, police said.



Investigators have not said whether anyone has been arrested and have not released any information about a suspect or suspects.

Police asked anyone with information about the shooting to contact them.
