MIDDLE RIVER, Md. (AP) - A Maryland man has been accused of sexually assaulting another man who came to his apartment to do an interview for a fake job opportunity that the suspect posted on social media.

Charging documents said William Pervis McNeill, Jr. told the victim to come to the apartment in Middle River for a physical exam, which included a prostate exam, as part of a fake interview last week, news outlets reported Thursday.

The victim was told that the exam had to be done at McNeill’s apartment since the location where the exam usually takes place was closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The victim told Baltimore County police investigators that he attempted contacting McNeill several days later, but never heard back, WJZ-TV reported.

Investigators said McNeill admitted to the allegations against him, and said he has done it at least three times since January, WBAL-TV reported. Police are now looking for other possible victims.

McNeill, 26, was arrested Tuesday. He is being held without bail on charges of second degree rape, fourth degree sex offense and perverted practice.

It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney who could comment on his behalf.
