HUNTINGDON, Pa. (AP) - A fast-moving fire broke out in a central Pennsylvania business and soon spread to an apartment building, displacing dozens of residents there but causing no injuries, authorities said.

The fire in Huntingdon broke out shortly before midnight Monday in the rear of the Huntingdon Electric Motor Service, authorities said, but it’s not yet known what sparked the blaze.

As dozens of firefighters battled the blaze, roughly 100 residents were evacuated from the apartment building, authorities said. Both buildings suffered severe water and fire damage and apparently were destroyed.

Hot embers from the fire sparked a small blaze at another building about a block away, but that fire was quickly contained.
