CLEARFIELD, Pa. (AP) - A coroner says the death of a woman in an explosion and fire at a central Pennsylvania home last fall was a homicide.
The Clearfield County coroner said Tuesday that 34-year-old Shanna Carlsson died from penetration wounds to the head and right lung due to an explosive device.
Her body was found after the Oct. 4 fire in downtown Clearfield. Witnesses reported hearing an explosion before the blaze.
Police originally reported all four occupants accounted for but said surveillance footage indicated one woman still inside.
No arrests have been announced.
State police, federal and state prosecutors, and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are investigating.
