OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Police have identified an Omaha teenage as the person who died after crashing a stolen SUV into a Bellevue house and was found to have been stabbed before the crash.
Bellevue police said it was Elijah Walsh, 17, who died in the incident, the Omaha World-Herald reported.
The crash happened just after 1 a.m. Wednesday, after a man called Bellevue police to report he had confronted two males trying breaking into his vehicle, police said.
The two fled the confrontation in an Infiniti SUV that had been reported stolen from Omaha, police said. Several minutes later, the SUV crashed into a house, and Walsh - who had been driving - died at the scene. Police said they discovered after the crash that he had been stabbed. No arrests have been reported.
No one in the house that the vehicle hit was hurt, police said.
