HAMPDEN, Maine (AP) - A pickup truck driver died after the vehicle slid into a guardrail and flipped several times, Maine state police said Wednesday.

The truck ended up at the bottom of an embankment alongside Interstate 95, and the driver was ejected and killed, troopers said. Stanley Swallow, 57, of Newburgh, died at the crash site, troopers said.

Troopers blamed black ice for causing the pickup to slide. The crash happened at about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.
