LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A Kentucky man who was driving under the influence of drugs killed a passenger in a car crash, authorities said.
Dawson Hatfield was booked into a Louisville jail Wednesday on several charges including murder, news outlets reported.
An unidentified person in the back of Hatfield’s car died at the scene Wednesday morning. Another passenger was taken to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Police said they found large amount of bills and a bag of prescription pills during a search of his car. Hatfield also admitted to taking prescription drugs before the crash, police said.
