BLOOMINGTON, Texas (AP) - Four people were killed when their two vehicles collided at a South Texas intersection near Victoria.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says a pickup truck containing two people was southbound on Texas 185 about 10 miles (16 kilometers) southeast of Victoria when the crash happened early Sunday morning.

DPS Sgt. Ruben San Miguel told The Victoria Advocate that another pickup truck containing three people pulled out of a U-turn and slammed into the first truck before careening into a utility pole. San Miguel says only the driver of the second truck survived and was in stable condition at Citizens Medical Center in Victoria.

San Miguel says everyone in the two trucks was wearing seatbelts.
