FAIRFIELD, Ohio (AP) - Fire officials say one person has been found dead in a house fire in Ohio.
Authorities say the blaze at a home in Butler County’s Fairfield Township, about 30 miles (48 kilometers) north of Cincinnati, was reported Saturday afternoon. They say the person who was found dead was in the front part of the one-story home where the fire apparently began. That person’s identity hasn’t been released.
Fairfield Township Fire Chief Timothy Thomas said one firefighter taken to a hospital to be checked for heat exhaustion.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the blaze.
Fire officials say no one else was found in the home.
