NORTH HERO, Vt. (AP) - A funeral for two young boys killed in a house fire in North Hero, Vermont, is being held this week.

The funeral is planned for Thursday in St. Albans for Theodore and Nathaniel Maltais.

WCAX-TV reports that according to the obituary, friends and family are encouraged to dress up as their favorite superhero to honor the boys. The family is requesting that people donate to the North Hero Volunteer Fire Department in lieu of flowers.

The boys, who were 5 years and 11 months old, died in the early morning fire on Oct. 19 that investigators believe was caused by an issue with an electric clothes dryer.

Police say the boys’ parents escaped the fire, but couldn’t reach their sons.
