PURCELLVILLE, Va. (AP) - Two people in northern Virginia were seriously injured when a tree fell on a vehicle.

The Washington Post reports that the accident happened in western Loudoun County Friday night.

Loudoun County Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief Tim Menzenworth said the vehicle was moving at the time it was struck by the tree.



It is not clear what caused the tree to fall.
