MACON, Ga. (AP) - The CEO of a tissue product company says plans to expand a newly opened facility in Georgia are now under way as the plant has already “sold out” of its space.

The Macon Telegraph reports the Irving Tissue plant in Macon-Bibb County celebrated its grand opening Wednesday and also celebrated the announcement of an expansion.

President and CEO Robert Irving says the plant already requires more room to produce more products.

The $470 million plant produces soft bath tissue and paper towels and has 200 employees. The expansion will cost $400 million and is expected to be finished by 2022.
