LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - Two students have been arrested following separate threats at schools in southwest Louisiana.

The Calcasieu (KAL-kuh-shoo) Parish Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Monday a 15-year-old was arrested Thursday and a 16-year-old was arrested Friday. Both are juveniles, so their names were withheld.

The 15-year-old allegedly threatened to kill everyone at LaGrange High School after he was kicked out of class. He was arrested on a terrorizing charge.

The 16-year-old allegedly made a social media post threatening a bombing or shooting at Washington Marion High School and Molo Middle School. He was arrested on two counts of communicating false information of a planned bombing on school property.

The Calcasieu Parish School Board posted Friday on Facebook that any threats face law enforcement and maximum school board discipline.
