OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - University of Mississippi officials are testing the school’s largest residence hall for mold and poor air quality.
Students living in 10-story Crosby Hall have been complaining for months of ailments they believe are related to mold or dust problems. The dorm has space for nearly 700 women.
WMC-TV reports an environmental contractor conducted an air quality test on Tuesday, with results expected in coming days.
Ole Miss officials say students are being given the option to move to other dorms at no additional cost if space is available.
The university began inspecting rooms in Crosby Hall earlier this month after complaints from parents and students. Students say they’re suffering from sore throats and coughs.
