ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A woman has been arrested in connection with a shooting that critically injured a man at an Albuquerque apartment complex last weekend.

Albuquerque police say 36-year-old Monica Perea was booked into jail early Tuesday on suspicion of attempt to commit a first-degree felony, conspiracy and tampering with evidence.

It’s unclear if Perea has legal representation yet.

Police say Ruben Edwards was shot in the head Sunday morning after a fight with another man.

He reportedly remains in critical condition at the University of New Mexico Hospital.

Police say another suspect is suspected of shooting Edwards and video surveillance of the outside of the apartment complex shows how the incident unfolded.

The other suspects in the shooting haven’t been identified.
