NEW YORK (AP) - An 83-year-old woman who was knocked down by a mugger as she arrived home from church is going about life as usual.

WCBS says Miriam Castillo - rosary in hand - walked to church on Thursday, a day after the attack in Harlem.

Castillo says she is “not someone who scares easily.”

On Wednesday, a man lurked around her apartment building as she returned home from Mass.

He followed her onto the elevator. When she got to her floor, he knocked her down and grabbed her belongings.

He dropped her purse while fleeing. But he got away with her phone and her wallet - which had $10 in it.

Castillo was treated for a head injury.

Surveillance video shows a man with his hand covering his face.
