BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Fire crews in Buffalo have gained control of a blaze that has caused extensive damage to three homes and sent several people to the hospital.

Officials say the fire was reported around 6:45 a.m. Friday in a home on Massachusetts Avenue on the city’s west side. The flames spread to two neighboring homes before being contained.

Firefighters say seven people, including four adults and three children, are hospitalized. Information on their condition hasn’t been released.



Firefighters say the home where the blaze started will likely need to be demolished.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
