NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a 15-year-old student brought a loaded handgun to a charter school in Newark.

Police were called to the M.E.T.S Charter School on Thursday afternoon and arrested the boy without incident. He’s charged with unlawful possession of a weapon in an educational institution.

Police recovered the 9 millimeter handgun.
