WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) - A North Carolina university was placed on lockdown after a stabbing on campus.
Winston-Salem Police said the stabbing at Winston-Salem State University happened around 1 p.m. Friday while two people were fighting near Hill Hall
Police said in a statement the student who was stabbed did not appear to suffer life-threatening injuries.
Police say they have a suspect and are seeking warrants. They did not identify the suspect.
The school immediately issued a lockdown and lifted it about 2 ½ hours later when they determined the suspect in the stabbing was no longer on campus.
