NEW YORK (AP) - Police say they’re investigating the fatal shooting of a 39-year-old man who was gunned down on a New York City street.

The New York Police Department says officers responded shortly after midnight Tuesday to a 911 call reporting a man hit by gunfire in front of a corner deli in the Murray Hill section of Queens.

When officers arrived they found a man who had been shot in the face. Emergency crews pronounced him dead at scene.



The victim’s name is being withheld until his family is notified.

No arrests have been reported.
