BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - Police are searching for three men in connection with a Connecticut shooting that led to a man being injured, a dog killed and a women being kidnapped and later released.

Bridgeport police arrived at the scene around 1 a.m. Monday after responding to reports of several shots fired.

Police say they found a man and a neighbor’s dog with gunshot wounds. Police say the man’s girlfriend was kidnapped and later released in Wallingford, Connecticut. The woman called 911 after her release around 3 a.m.



The man has been transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The dog has since died.

Police say the shooting is still under investigation. The victim’s names and circumstances that lead to the shooting have not been released.
