PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police say they don’t immediately know what killed a man who was found in a canal on the city’s west side.
Sgt. Mercedes Fortune says the man had no obvious signs of trauma and that an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
The man was found Wednesday evening in a canal in the area of 9900 W. McDowell Road.
Fortune says the man was in critical condition when found in the canal and that he was pronounced dead at a hospital.
His identity wasn’t released.
