DERIDDER, La. (AP) - The “Welcome to the City of DeRidder” has been stolen - again.

On La. 27, it can get quite dark at night and there’s not much around, making the sign an easy target. The last time it went missing, Police Chief John Gott tells KPLC-TV (https://bit.ly/2m0753x ) they didn’t have to search long for it.

He says after a few phone calls, it was magically returned.

The sign went missing again Saturday. As of now, Gott says he has a “no harm, no foul” attitude. But if it’s not returned soon, it will become a theft case.

At the very least, Gott says it’s a misdemeanor, which can be punishable to up to six months in jail.
