RIDGEVILLE, S.C. (AP) - A man has been charged in a wreck that killed a 9-year-old girl on Interstate 26 in Dorchester County.
Local media outlets reported that 46-year-old Zebulon Wright was charged Sunday with driving under the influence involving a death and reckless homicide.
Olivia Watson of Summerville died after the SUV she was in went over a guardrail. The girl died at Trident Medical Center in North Carolina and died about an hour after the crash that happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol says the SUV the girl was in was hit by a car driven by Wright.
It was not known if Wright has an attorney yet.
